“Fishy Baby’s Breath”
There is no good without bad. We only know what’s beautiful because we have experienced the ugly. Fish sauce and flowers have both “good” and “bad” within them depending on how we look at it.
Fish Sauce, with its long shelf life, can transform dishes but isn’t very pleasant on its own. Flowers, with their fleeting lifespan, typically seen as beautiful but can carry meanings of loss, apology, or sympathy, yet they also express love, celebration and appreciation.
Together these two elements merge together and somehow form a different kind of beauty. Yet when seen separately, they viewed with a definite good or bad symbol. Finding beauty in the unexpected is necessary.
“There was no good without the bad, no joy without sorrow, no peace without war, and there definitely couldn’t be love without the sour taste of hate. You had to know what one felt like to fully experience and appreciate the other.” - Jay Crownover
